Bonkers Live, with full band.

My favorite song Bonkers, performed live with a full band...fucking sick.

Wiley - Take That

Pretty sweet song. All the other versions of this song on youtube have really crappy sound quality so even though this version has the stupid radio show at the beginning and at the end it's the best your gonna get of this track for the next little while.

Matt and Kim - Yea Yea

Sweet song. Found out about this song by researching Matt and Kim after hearing them on April's blog. Another good track, kudos.

Dan Deacon - Snookered

When I first heard this song it fit perfectly with the mood. I was walking back from the library and the sun was setting and honestly if  this had been a scene in a movie, it would have been the part where the character has an epiphany and after a bit of soul searching they find the answers to all their problems. But sadly my life is not a movie, and I just walked home thinking about how much I was enjoying this song (it's eight minutes so it stayed with me for more than half the walk.)

Grizzly Bear - Knife

The original song is sweet, but I think I like the Born Ruffians version best. The Girl Talk version is interesting but I don't know, Girl Talk has done better.

The Bloody Beetroots - Rombo

This video is just so sick,  makes me want to get a fake ID so badly. But ya, this video is said to be Bloody Beetroots with OMG!TM, but if you're looking to download it somewhere, I think the closest version to the one in this video is actually featuring Congorock. Anyways you can check the same song here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMg0uSmFmE8

But once again, another great steal from April. Kudos.

J-List Volume 1

J-List Volume 1: An epic 59 song playlist comprising every song that's been on the blog thus far. I originally intended this playlist to come out in the form of a podcast, but due to copy right laws I actually cannot do that. So basically if you see me, ask for one, and it will be burnt and put into a paper case with the beautiful cover that you see above printed on it. Also the playlist will probably be over three hours long, so I highly doubt anyone will listen to it in one play through or even have the diligence to listen to it all (unless you love every song you hear.)  The thing I dream of happening is that people will hang around and be like ``Hey, let`s listen to Jakob`s playlist!`` and I will basically DJ parties/chills even when I'm not around.
But ya it's meant for your own enjoyment and promotion of the blog. So enjoy. (Come find me and I will give you a copy, but most likely I will probably be shoving the silly cd in your face.)

Washed Out - Feel it all Around

Didn't care for this song the first time I heard it. I think the music video made me change my mind about the whole thing. Underwater is cool.

Animal Collective - Sweet Road

When first hearing this song I totally had a flashback to that song in the movie Matilda. After listening to the other song, I realized they are slightly similar but not really. Here's the song from Matilda: Rusted Root - Send me on my way.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDdokE1rAMw

Like the majority of Animal Collective's songs I feel as if there's always one thing in their song that tickles your fancy, yet the rest of it sounds like crap until you get used to it. The beginning and end are good in the song but at the screaming in the middle took a couple of times to accept.

Dizzee Rascal - Dance Wiv Me

Another good song, Fave line: "You got a body to die for. Let me merk it." Lol.

Electro (or whatever the fuck) saved my life.

Spent the weekend back in my old hood (twenty minutes away from my new hood.) As always heard some sick new tunes, which were obviously electro songs. The above picture brought to you by http://thewilderthings.blogspot.com/. Also kudos to whoever put the music on at Wallis'.
